CAVES

 


Escalante City has more than fifty caves around with amazing cave cavities, stalagmites and stalactites around. Cavers and a lot of adventurers explored which gave them a truly wonderful adventure.


MT. LUNAI (MT. SOLITAIRE)


Mount Solitario

This mountain ranges to a peak of 308 meters. It is one of the massive landmarks of Escalante and visible in any point of the city.

Mode of Transportation: From the city proper, respective barangays of caves and mountain are accessible by Public Utility Jeepneys which are available by schedule everyday.

The City Government, thru its Tourism Office, may provide transportation assistance, with which cost may vary according to destination, and guide to those who are interested for trek and caving. (Refer to page11, Guided Tour Package)

Tourism Activities: Survival of the Fittest, an Outdoor Adventure Race is annually held, open to all adventure enthusiasts. An adventure competition includes trekking, caving, water tubing, etc.

Estimated cost per visit: expenses may only cover rental of vehicle. Adventurers are recommended to bring their own foods.
