Tourism and Investment Promotion

The development and promotion of Escalante as an eco-tourism destination is vigorously pursued through the successful hosting of the National Caving Congress featuring the Trancalan Caves. Other major events in 2002 were the "North Negros Marathon Relay", and the "37-K Escalante Challenge".

The ongoing website development project for Escalante City complements the marketing efforts of the present administration to spur economic and tourism development. In 2002, P3 Million was allocated for the incentives and infrastructure support for investors specificaly on tourism and related businesses.
