Educated, trainable and hard-working.
Eighty percent of the populace is literate. At present, the city has
adequate learning institutions: 49 Day Care Centers, 5 kindergartens,
27 elementary schools, 9 public high schools and one private college.
Mt. Carmel College, owned by the Carmelite Fathers, has been providing
quality Catholic education since it was founded in 1961.
Majority of the people (90%) speak Cebuano, followed by the Hiligaynon
dialect.
