Transport and Communication

Transport is an important component of the City Government's policies and strategy. Plans are underway to modernize existing infrastructure with spending on the improvement and development of farm-to-market roads. Major projects include the reconstruction of the Malasibog Footbridge and construction of the bridge spanning across the Danao River connecting Barangays Alimango and Langub.

Four domestic seaports serve the city's shipping needs. Buses, taxi cabs, public utility jeepneys and tricycles are widely available. Roads are generally in good travel condition.

Radio, television and cable TV services are already available. Government postal service is supplemented by private courier companies (LBC and Aboitiz Express).
